Our Massage Therapists

Aliya D.

I have recently graduated from the Academy of Natural Therapy where I received 750 credited course hours of education with an additional 150+ hours of hands-on training. I am trained in Trigger Point, Neuromuscular, Sports Massage, Swedish Massage, as well as many Hydrotherapy treatments (including Hot Stone) and Connective Structural Massage. I became a Massage Therapist to share the benefit of well-being and balance that medical massage brought to me.

My focus is on providing for those seeking to benefit their welfare and improve health through manual manipulation methods; I want to assist in positive change and relief for anyone, including those with previous injuries, chronic pain, and active life-styles.

I use Connective Structural Massage with techniques from Neuromuscular, Trigger Point and Hot Stone Massage modalities to assist in realignment of soft tissue structures. Incorporating these additional massage techniques to the Connective Structural modality allows me to better facilitate soft tissue adjustment.

Tyler S.

I graduated from Denver School of Massage therapy in 2005 where I learned multiple modalities and completed over 700 hours of accredited massage course work. I then became a Reiki Master in 2007. I focused on private practice where I continued to learn different modalities through continuing education and worked with specialized populations. In the course of my career I've worked on clients with cancer, back fusions, joint replacements, Ehler Danlos syndrome, Hyper Mobility, pre-surgery, and a whole list of other symptoms and dysfunctions.

I've worked in several different settings from spa's to clinics. I most recently worked at Northern Colorado Massage before returning to my work in a private practice.

I've been a Massage Therapist for over 15 years. I specialize in Medical Massage and have developed a specialized modality known as Connective Structural Massage designed to help with aches and pains caused by soft tissue misalignment. Over the course of my career, I've worked on a variety  of medical issues and disorders. I also specialize in helping with Hyper Mobility and Ehler Danlos syndrome.

Emily C.

I started in massage in 2020 after graduating from the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado working in spa/studio settings such as Northern Colorado Massage. I've also worked with chiropractors in their offices.

I have always been fascinated by how the body is able to heal. This led me to learning as much about how to help a client as much as I can. I actively sought out any and all information that I can to be able to assist my clients through their healing process.

This lead me to learning Craniosacral Therapy and Connective Structural Massage. My approach to these modalities is that of integration with my overall flow. I try to take the best of all the techniques I've learned to form my own style to better fit my clients needs.

I actively research and learn all that I can about a clients particular issues as I continue to work with them.

Our Story

Colorado Connective Massage was founded in 2021 by Tyler Shafer. After years of practice, Tyler found that there wasn't a place that felt quite right as a fit for his practice and modality. He found that there have been studios and spas that were great for individual practices, still nothing ever felt exactly like home. This lead to setting off on his own to create his own practice as a place to grow and be that true home for Connective Structural Massage.

While we encourage and celebrate our massage therapists unique styles and practices, our primary focus is that of Connective Structural Massage. Approaches to this modality vary by individual, but every massage therapist is trained in this modality.

What sets us apart from many other studios is that we have a focus on the continual care of our clients. It is always amazing when relief happens in a single session, however, most of our clients require multiple sessions to help resolve their issues. We set out with that long term care in mind. No two people have the exact same issues and we develop plans focused on those specific issues.

We look forward to working with you, or continuing to work with you.
